James Foster Elementary School New Classroom and Science Classroom Building
Saugus Union School District
Santa Clarita, California
Challenge accepted! The Saugus Union School District approached SGH Architects to design a new 2-story Classroom and Flexible Science Classroom Building on a crowded site to replace several aging relocatable buildings. Topography, site access, and student safety were the primary concerns of the project and SGH Architects developed, with the District, a plan that minimizes the impact of construction on the site by exploring a modular option and separating the project into increments so that utilities, foundation, and site work could be done over the Summer break and the buildings (built off-site) could be set over the Winter break.
